May 15th is an important day for Curacao. That day the people of our island get to vote 'Yes' or 'No' on the result negotiated by the ruling coalition regarding our autonomy. This has been a 'hot topic' during the last few months and has polarized our population. This campaign design was made under the creative direction of Jeroen Leinders, in assignment of Stradius. Focusing on young people/teenagers and getting them to vote 'Yes' (or SI) for their own future. Photography by Carlo Walle and web development by Felix iT.

renting tools is fun!

When asked to make a campaign to introduce Rent It All, a company that rents heavy duty tools to builders, as a new Fun Miles partner, a cliché suddenly became pretty useful. It's a calender and also a Fun Miles ad. It features a fine looking foxy lady to boot. Make some room on the wall, gents. A joint venture with De Schrijfkeizer once again.

Janssen de Jong Project Development is developing a new resort at Piscadera Bay, Curaçao. To promote this project a brochure was made where the idea behind the design and its colors are based on one of the best features of the apartments; their view. Taking the old real estate adage, "location, location, location", to heart. Pictured are the cover and two spreads from the twelve page brochure.

Absolute Computers & Services has become official Apple Authorized Reseller & Apple Authorized Service Center and they're darn proud of it too (and they should be). This ad let's everybody know that there's a fresh dealer on Curacao. Added was a Direct Mailer. A box with two real apples, a letter and a business card; to be sent to prospects. Buy a Mac, people.

Yet another gas station on Curacao has joined the ever growing Fun Miles family. Gas station Sta. Rosa has the honor this time. Or Sta. Reuza as it will be referred to after this campaign, letting everybody know it's a free ride at Sta. Rosa as well. Based on those seventies monster film posters. Copy by De Schrijfkeizer of course.

lyongo architecture

The architect Lyongo Juliana ventured out on his own. Uplifting our island with his creative and eclectic designs. The help him distinguish himself in the market, I designed a logo, business card and an interim website. The idea behind the logo is the floor plan of a building with its rooms and corridors. Fun Miles Aruba wanted a catchy design for a bus. Inspired by FM's pay off 'Fun within your reach!' this idea was born. Armed with his Fun Miles card this man has an extraordinary reach to grab all the fun symbolized by the logos of FM's many Aruban partners. Special praise for Robert Eman and his team from Art&Design Aruba.

For the Mortgage Dept. of the MCB Bank: a campaign that is fresh and out of the ordinary, while still having that 'good life appeal'. Again a joint venture with De Schrijfkeizer (copy/concept), with the indispensable help & skills of Zoom AV, Carlo Walle and Jolanda Smulders. 10 years of fun!

This year (2008) Fun Miles celebrates 10 years of fun! To commemorate this fact this very festive animation was conceived in which a family is transported into the the magical world of Fun Miles! Made together with De Schrijfkeizer (copy/concept) & Z-Depth Media (animation).

Gas is not getting cheaper, but by redeeming your Fun Miles at participating gas stations, you can ride for free! Credits to De Schrijfkeizer (copy) and Carlo Walle (photography). For added fun I've also included the original sketch, an ad and a picture of the actual billboard.

2008 is a big year for ENNIA; they celebrate 60 years in the business! One of the many activities held to party with the pueblo was the 'Djadumingo di Goso!" (Fun on Sunday). A day filled with music, dominoes and BBQ! Kudos to Argelis Rosa for coming up with the name for the day.
